The hair is knotted in place through the edge then twisted and plaited, so it will stay in place through lots of games!

The art of Knitting ,Winter Warmers

Yarn with a metallic silver fleck gives this crown extra sparkle!

I enjoyed researching designs for this project, I wanted a pattern an intermediate or advanced knitter would feel they could try.

This pattern uses  increases, decreases and yarn over stitches, I think this makes it a great project for a some one who wants to tackle  a slightly more challenging pattern.

The crown is seamed at the back so the size can be adjusted to fit by overlapping the ends. The crown is made firmer by spraying with hair lacquer, you could use spray starch if you prefer.

Any colour would look great - How about golden yellow for a Queen
